  • What methods of payment do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), PayPal, and money orders. If paying by money order and your payment is not received within 10 days, your order will be canceled.

    When paying by money order or PayPal e-check, your order will be held until payment clears (generally 7-10 days).

    The security of your information and transactions is top priority. Our secure ordering automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

    Sales tax will be charged to orders shipping to addresses within New York State.

    Can I place my order over the phone?

    Yes!  We are now able to better assist our customers by accepting orders over the phone.  Simply call us toll-free at 1-888-703-5541 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST and a friendly customer service operator will be happy to assit you. Should we be busy assisting other customers and you receive our answering service, be sure to leave a message. All customers get priority service and all calls are returned promptly.

    Can I cancel my order?

    Yes you can -- as long as the item has not been shipped.  Most in-stock items will ship within 24-48 hours of receipt of order.  If you do receive an order that was canceled, accept delivery of the item and send an email to info@balletboutique.com or call 1-888-703-5541 for return instructions.

    Can I return an item that is defective?

    Of course!  The Ballet Boutique ensures our customers are 100% satisfied. If you are not, simply return the merchandise, in its original condition and packaging, within 14 days and we will either exchange the product or refund your payment. Refunds will be made for your original purchase price minus our shipping costs.

    Prior to returning an item, please contact us or call 1-888-703-5541 to receive return authorization. Merchandise returned without authorization will be refused. You may want to insure your return; we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns. If you paid for your order by credit card, a credit will be issued and will appear on your billing statement.

    Please keep the original manufacturer's packing containers. We will not accept returns if packaging is not in its original condition.

    What happens if the item I ordered is unavailable?

    In the unlikely event there is a change or delay in filling your order, we will notify you via phone or email.  At that time we will offer you the following options appropriate to your situation: 

  • Offer an alternate selection of equal or greater value.
  • Offer a backorder and supply you with a new estimated delivery. You can wait for the new delivery date or cancel for a full refund at any time prior to shipment.
  • Cancel your order. Although we constantly update our computer system, there are rare occasions where information may come our attention from the vendors after the placement of your order. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel your order for a full refund at any time

    What shipping carrier do you use?

    Currently we ship all packages using the United States Post Office (USPS). We reserve the right to ship using FedEx or UPS.

    Do you ship internationally?

    At this time, we only ship orders to the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and Canada. We do ship to APO addresses. Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally.

    When can I expect my order?

    Most orders will be shipped within 24-48 hours.  We ship all U.S. orders Priority Mail which typically takes 2-5 business days. If you request your U.S. shipped package faster, we can ship Express Mail which typically takes 1-2 business days. These are estimated shipping times and cannot be guaranteed. Shipping time is dependant upon the carrier.

    Delivery of your order is estimated to be 3-10 business days. Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday, as well as major holidays.

    Please note that if we have to review an order for security reasons, that review may affect the order processing and shipping time.
