This page contains answers to common questions handled by our support staff, along with some tips and tricks we have found useful and presented here as questions.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), PayPal (credit cards, e-check, and funded), and money orders. If paying by money order and your payment is not received within 10 days, your order will be cancelled.

When paying by money order or PayPal e-check, your order will be held until payment clears (generally 7-10 days).

The security of your information and transactions is top priority. Our secure ordering automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Sales tax will be charged to orders shipping to addresses within New York State.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes you can -- as long as the item has not been shipped.  Most in-stock items will ship within 24-48 hours of receipt of order.  If you do receive an order that was canceled, accept delivery of the item and send an email to info@balletboutique.com or call 1-888-703-5541 for return instructions.

Can I return an item that is defective?

Of course!  If, within 30 days of the shipment date, you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will replace the item or provide a credit for the full merchandise amount less any shipping charges. 

Prior to returning an item, contact The Ballet Boutique at info@balletboutique.com or 1-888-703-5541 to receive return authorization.  Merchandise returned without authorization will be refused.  You may want to insure your return; we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.  If you paid for your order by credit card, a credit will be issued and will appear on your billing statement once we receive the returned item(s).

Please keep the original manufacturer's packing containers.  We will not accept returns if packaging is not in its original condition. We will return such items to you.  To avoid a restocking charge, please return your merchandise in the original box and packing materials.  Do not destroy or discard original packing for 30 days.

What happens if the item I ordered is unavailable?

In the unlikely event there is a change or delay in filling your order, we will notify you via phone or email.  At that time we will offer you the following options appropriate to your situation: 

  • Offer an alternate selection of equal or greater value.

  • Offer a backorder and supply you with a new estimated delivery. You can wait for the new delivery date or cancel for a full refund at any time prior to shipment.

  • Cancel your order.  Although we constantly update our computer system, there are rare occasions where information may come our attention from the vendors after the placement of your order.  Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel your order for a full refund at any time

What shipping carrier do you use?

Currently we ship all packages using the United States Post Office (USPS). We reserve the right to ship using FedEx or UPS.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship orders to the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and Canada. We do ship to APO addresses. Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally.

When can I expect my order?

Most orders will be shipped within 24-48 hours.  We ship all U.S. orders Priority Mail which typically takes 2-5 business days. If you request your U.S. shipped package faster, we can ship Express Mail which typically takes 1-2 business days. These are estimated shipping times and cannot be guaranteed. Shipping time is dependant upon the carrier.

Delivery of your order is estimated to be 3-10 business days. Business days exclude Saturday and Sunday, as well as major holidays.

Please note that if we have to review an order for security reasons, that review may affect the order processing and shipping time.
